LPG (ലിക്വിഫൈഡ് പെട്രോളിയം ഗ്യാസ്) വിലകൾ ഭാരത് പെട്രോളിയം, ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാൻ പെട്രോളിയം, ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓയിൽ എന്നിവ നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്നു. സർക്കാർ ഇടക്കിടെ സബ്‌സിഡി നയം മാറ്റുന്നതനുസരിച്ച് വില മാറുന്നു.

Types of LPG Cylinders in India

• 14.2 kg Domestic Cylinder: The standard household LPG cylinder used by most Indian families. Subsidized under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) for eligible households.
• 19 kg Commercial Cylinder: Used by restaurants, hotels, and commercial establishments. Priced higher as no subsidy is applicable.
• 5 kg FTL Cylinder: A smaller, portable cylinder ideal for single-person households, students, and travellers.

Why LPG Prices Vary Across Cities

LPG prices differ across Indian cities primarily due to state-level VAT and local transportation charges. Southern states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka typically have higher LPG prices due to higher state taxes. Cities closer to refineries and import terminals like Delhi, Mumbai, and Gujarat cities tend to have lower prices due to reduced logistics costs.
